Exploring the Joyful Nature of Color

Whatever the season, my studio draws me in to paint most days! Working towards completing paintings for an invitational show, Ive painted a series of small paintings on paper. Working intuitively this practice frees me to explore color combinations I might not ordinarily use. These pieces were painted alla prima with Oil & Cold Wax medium. With its creamy consistency, I find this medium most seductive. I love the spontaneity and freedom as paintings evolve presenting many lovely possibilities.
